New Book Launch: Introduction to Blockchain Focuses on Blockchain Technology and Industry Development

Recently, a new book promotion event for "Building a New Ecological System of Blockchain Digital" themed "Introduction to Blockchain" was successfully held in an online live broadcast format. As the chief editor of the book, Professor Chen Zhong from the School of Information Science and Technology at Peking University and Shan Zhiguang, Director of the Department of Informatization and Industrial Development at the National Information Center attended the event and shared insights on the underlying technology of Blockchain and industry development trends.

Dan Zhiguang pointed out that Blockchain is essentially a distributed database that provides trusted attributes. As an emerging data storage and transmission method on the internet, it can compensate for the shortcomings of the internet in terms of credibility. He foresees that with the advancement of digital industrialization, Blockchain will play a more important role in the future, and its application scenarios will continue to expand.

Chen Zhongze emphasized that to fully realize the potential of Blockchain, efforts need to be continuously made in five areas in the future: promoting independent innovation of core technologies for alliance Blockchains, accelerating the standardization process of Blockchain, deepening the industrialization of Blockchain, promoting innovation in regulatory technology, and advancing the modernization of social governance.

As the deputy editor-in-chief, Yuan Yuming, CEO of a technology company, stated that the overall scale of the Blockchain market still has considerable development space, and it is ushering in a new era of the digital economy. Li Hui, the executive dean of the company's research institute, introduced that this textbook is one of the first professional textbooks in the field of Blockchain in China, aimed at helping readers master the basic principles and concepts of Blockchain, understand its fundamental application scenarios, and enhance their understanding and application capabilities of Blockchain technology.

It is reported that this book was compiled by a committee of 22 experts and scholars from 8 top universities and 6 enterprises and institutions in the country, taking a year and a half to carefully compile. At the promotion meeting, several committee members participated in a roundtable discussion, jointly exploring the development path of Blockchain in the integration of industry, academia, and research.

In 2021, Blockchain made significant progress in industrial applications. Professor Deng Jianpeng from the Law School of Central University of Finance and Economics mentioned that NFT(, a non-fungible token, provides proof of uniqueness for digital assets, which may be widely applied in areas such as asset on-chain in the future. Senior engineer Xiang Lipeng from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Electronic Five Institute stated that Blockchain is developing towards digitalization, intelligence, refinement, and legalization of governance, empowering the government affairs system and accelerating the modernization of social governance.

Pei Qingqi, the executive director of a key laboratory in Shaanxi Province, believes that the combination of Blockchain and privacy computing can enhance the credibility and value of data, driving the transformation of the data market. Tan Min, the head of the digital economy technology promotion group at a mobile design institute, emphasizes that the reconstruction of the future internet will undoubtedly integrate Blockchain technology, privacy computing, and distributed technology.

Currently, Blockchain has become one of the key technologies for the development of the digital industry. Some blockchain enterprises focused on building open ecosystems are deeply integrating production, education, research, and application, achieving significant results in areas such as industry standard formulation, product technology research and development, empowering the real economy, education and training systems, and ecological industry construction.

Yuan Yuming stated that under the trend of digital transformation of the world economy, Blockchain, as the cornerstone of the digital economy, will create new development opportunities for more people.
